General Manager’s Report
Please diarise our AGM on 26 October as we would appreciate your attendance.
We love the new life that Spring has breathed into our Estate.
Our trees have new fresh green leaves, blossoms are bright, and the Estate is bursting with colour everywhere. It seems that Spring brings a new sense of energy and enthusiasm.
Fantastic Fridaze
We started September off with another successful Fantastic Fridaze with three very happy winners and many families that joined us on the evening, enjoying the warmth of Spring and the superb entertainment provided by ROYAL-T.
Bird Walk and Arbor Week
Our Nature Association hosted a wonderful bird walk, led by our expert André Marx and we welcomed in Arbor Week with a display of trees for sale by Sean James from Turfnet. We sold 45 trees and thank the residents that supported this worthwhile day.
Blood Drive
We also hosted the SANBS (South African National Blood Service) and had 36 residents donate blood on the day – we thank those who came out to make a difference in the lives of others.
Matric Dance
Crawford College and Dainfern College chose our beautiful Estate for their pre-drinks before their matric dances. The Estate was alive with beautiful young people with their partners and families celebrating these milestone events.
Heritage Day
Heritage Day was celebrated with a braai in true South African fashion that was enjoyed by families across the Estate.
Prawn Special
SIX33 hosted a prawn evening special and were overwhelmed with visitors and residents who share a love of prawns, who were excited to eat out and enjoy the beauty of the views from our Clubhouse.
Loadshedding
Loadshedding has really taken its toll on all of us – with moving between Stages and forcing us all to plan differently. We thank our residents for their patience during this period and give huge thanks to our staff who work tirelessly to ensure, where possible, that water and electricity are sorted out as soon as is practicable.
We look forward to some desperately needed rain to ensure our golf course returns to the emerald green that we expect, especially after the winter months.
