Your guide to getting the most out of Dainfern’s summer activities
Beautiful, sublime summer has arrived. But it can go by in the blink of an eye, and that means you should use this time to enjoy the outdoors to its full potential.
Research has shown that when we engage in physical activity, and especially when it is outdoors, we improve not just our bodies but help to reduce mental health issues as well. This summer is the perfect opportunity to revamp your personal life and to make time for yourself and your family!
A few things to remember before heading out for a day in the sun
- Wear a hat: We cannot stress this enough! Wearing a wide-brimmed hat outdoors is a great way to protect your hair, eyes, and skin from the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) rays.
- Keep hydrated: When we are busy we tend to forget to drink water. Keep a bottle on hand to remind you to increase your water intake, especially on these hot summer days.
- Games and gadgets: Balls, binoculars, frisbee, books, magnifying glass, walkie-talkies. Come on guys that’s where the fun’s at! Grab a backpack and fill it with fun.
Our favourite places for outdoor activities
Unleash your inner mermaid or merman this summer at our beautiful community pool. The pool is always open. So tag along, enjoy a few laps, relax and get some Vitamin D. Why not throw a pool party? Give us a call to organise your booking, and enjoy a day in the sun with your friends!
We’ve got a variety of different parks at Dainfern where you can enjoy a picnic, let your kids play or just relax under the shade of a tree. You can even take your dogs for a walk through the parks, but remember that they should always remain on a leash and if they make a mess – please clean this up with the use of our dog waste bins.
