Halloween was nigh when the whispering began, little voices in everyone’s ears, no two people hearing the same thing…Halloween! Halloween! Is here … it’s here. From a darkened room I watch; with no light in here, it is my night, Halloween night – 28 October is Halloween night.
We only have 12 houses registered for trick or treating on Saturday. If your home is open to the children of Dainfern, please send an email to email@example.com to get your property placed onto the map.
We will also have a “best dressed” golf cart competition with judging taking place at 5:30 pm and amazing prizes for the winning golf cart. Carts to be in place at the parking area of the Pavilion by 5 pm at the latest for the judging to take place.
Halloween brings out the neighbourhood freaks in all the best ways, join us at the mausoleum (Pavilion) from 3 pm to 6 pm, get your gruesome face on with one of our freakishly good face painters and have some freakishly good fun with the Halloween gang. We will have prizes for the Best Dressed Boys and Girls which will be handed out just before 6 pm so that you can hit the eerie streets at 6 pm for spine-chilling trick or treating until 8 pm.
In the streets, ghouls will swarm the otherworldly homes where garages become dungeons, severed limbs poke from closed doors and dire warnings to trespassers are pasted in dripping red paint. If your home becomes a gaol of quivering fear and your lawn becomes a graveyard with corpses dangling from trees and cobwebs spanning every doorway should the trick or treaters dare enter, you have to tell Laura on 011 875 0492 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to put your home on the grisly chart otherwise no ghouls, demons or zombies or axe murderers will be coming to haunt your home.
As always, and this year is no different, there are rules that need to be adhered to:-
- Only children under aged 13 years and younger may take part in the trick or treating on the estate;
- Trick or treating will take place from 6 pm to 8 pm on Saturday 28 October 2017 only;
- All children must be accompanied by an adult;
- Please keep the roads and common areas on the Estate free of litter;
- Some residents do not want to take part in the Halloween festivities and we ask everyone to be considerate of each other while having fun!
So before the colours of the day had even softened or the shadows become giants on the sidewalk, make sure that you are registered for trick or treaters and that your children get dressed up and decked out in time to go trick or treating on the estate.
